11. Day - Time to say good-bye...
We look back on the 63. Berlinale and the 27. TEDDY AWARD. Too short was the time – but more than anything else it was fantastic. We hope you had just as much fun as we did and that you are not too sad that it is over because after an ending there will be nothing new - and you can still watch some queer movies today, among them the TEDDY AWARD winner for the best Feature Film and for the best Short Film...

It was the party of the century! - Yesterday the 27th TEDDY AWARD Gala, the prize award of the TEDDY AWARD including a live-show and a busting after show party, took place in the Station Berlin. Today you will find all information, interviews and film clips around this year’s winners here...
9. Day - TEDDY AWARD Gala
Tonight the 27. TEDDY AWARD Gala will take place in the Station Berlin. At this colourful event this year’s TEDDY AWARD winners will be announced. Furthermore there will be a glamorous stage show with international stars. Afterwards there will be the TEDDY Party, which is often called ‘the best Party of the Berlinale by visitors and experts. And everyone who wants to watch some of the competing movies can do this today...
8. Day - Love is in the Kino
It’s Valentine’s Day, a capitalistic day, invented by praline producers and flower shops to make money and forgettable partners a bad consciousness. Red roses are sold in masses around every corner, the chocolate shells in the supermarkets are panically emptied, spontaneous trips to the south sea are booked. But still we love it and have the right stuff for you for today from East-Berlin, professional lesbian and fantastic things made in Taiwan. Furthermore the international TEDDY JURY presents itself in interviews.

7. Day - Bare of all reason
There are brown bears, black bears and golden bears, panda bears, koala bears, gummi bears and yogi bears. And for sure TEDDY bears. And movies which compete for one of the TEDDYS can be watched again today, among other things we offer Revenge, Retro, Revolution and lots of Rosa.
6. Day - Half time party
The first half of the 63th Berlinale is over. But that is not a reason to be sad, because the glas is not half empty but half full - half of the Berlinale and the TEDDY is still ahead of us! Today we have classics from Portugal and Germany, critics on gentrification from New York and the sound of the deepest parts of the human soul.
5. Day - Eyes in the big city
If a look says more than thousand words, it has to be TEDDY, because today we have hot stuff for your eyes: Bambi as well as Fifi, a lot of crazy minds, heatwaves and queer revolutions we present you today in our programme!
Special Teddy Award
This year’s Special TEDDY AWARD will be awarded to the South-African project “STEPS for the Future”. With this special prize, which is given away by the TEDDY AWARD in cooperation with Berliner Aidshilfe e.V., we assign a film project, which in an outstanding way stands up for HIV awareness and therefore for education about and awareness of this infectious disease in public.

3. Day - Jean Marais says Hello!
Two men united in emotional tenderness - on first sight. But what we see is one man and his face in a mirror. What we see is Jean Marais in Jean Cocteau's ORPHÉE while caressing his own image. And everyone who wants to see more should watch today's movie, among them we have imagines of poetical love in Brazil, self finding in Taiwan, longing in Africa and loneliness in Israel.

What is a family? Aren't we a queer family? - Todays filmmakers, actors and actresses and ficticious characters belong defnitely to our queer family, showing family problems in the country side, policemen between marriage and desire as well as Berlin partypeople.

Building bridges to queer film festivals throughout the world – something made possible with the 9 jury members selected to judge the TEDDY AWARDS 2013 to be awarded on 15 February at Station Berlin. With consideration given to queer films shown in all sections of the international film festival Berlin, the task of the jury members is to select the prizewinners in the categories best feature film, best documentary and best short film and to award a special jury prize.
